Libestered Award

Ayyyyyyy!

So my silly brain reads Libestered as Lobstered. …Don’t make that mistake.

The Liebster Award – A tag/chain post that unites fans of movie blogs and movie bloggers/reviewers. The basic idea of this project/concept is that bloggers nominate other bloggers and ask them 11 questions. Nominated people have to answer those 11 questions, nominate 11 people and ask them 11 questions of their own.”

Thanks to Geeky Cheeky Always Sneaky  for nominating me. Geeky Cheeky Always Sneaky does excellent and super detailed reviews on films, trailers, etc and I’m glad to have met them and read their work. I’ve recently started writing movie reviews, and I’m excited to meet another avid movie critic. Check out their blog, it’s got great content and you won’t be disappointed.

The Answers to what you seek… is SHRUBBERY!!

  1. Where are you from? Planet earth 🙂
  2. First cinema experience? Watching Big Hero 6 with my brother. First time I went to a theater to watch a film –> a long story involving an overprotective and religious upbringing.
  3. Favorite genre? Psychological Thrillers + Action + Gore
  4. Favorite franchise? SAW (want to play a game?) and Riddick.
  5. Remakes/reboots – for or against? I tend to lean towards oldies cus they tend to have better plots and flow; but in cases where the CGI needs to be updated then I look forward to updates that don’t screw with the goodness of the original. I only like remakes when they are made better than the oldies. If they suck, then naw!
  6. Favorite movie soundtrack? Right now it’s Rogue One Soundtrack -I couldn’t stop gasping in excitement when I heard it in theater via the Star Wars: Rogue One trailer. It’s a great mix of “noise” and melody that I appreciate and hope to emulate in my own compositions. Similarly, I also like Prometheus theme and all the American Horror Story theme songs.
  7. Guilty pleasure movie? Gahhhh I don’t know…I guess that I love films with an excellent villain -smart and sadistic. Guilty pleasure implies shame in watching something, and I don’t have any of that really. *shrug
  8. A film that you have seen more than 3 times? Revolver (2005)
  9. Favorite director? Mmm, don’t know yet. Still learning them all and the different styles.
  10. Favorite foreign language (non-English) film? Kick (2014), Legend of the Fist (2010), Freier Fall (2013). I assumed anime doesn’t count…
  11. Favorite movie from the year you were born? Any Clint Eastwood film.

I am artist, analyst, author, poet, composer, musician to name a few aspects of myself. A bit of a jack of trades, I dabble into many fields that encourage the blossom of imagination and allow me to channel my creativity. I dream vividly and view the world through the lens of optimism and opportunity while acknowledging the ink and shadows.

    1. Thanks Rose, there’s something so satisfying about such genres, it can get addictive. Sadly, they tend to be on the rare side (or I just keep looking in the wrong places… lol). 🙂 Thanks for reading!!
