Coffee#15: ICU – I… See U

ICU – intensive care unit                                                        ICU – (slang) I see you

But nobody does. And no one can fix it.

“You aren’t as [fucked up] as you think you are.” Yeah, you can say that now, but you don’t know. You don’t know me yet. To be fair, nobody does.

That, THAT …is how it is. How it’s meant to be.

It’s hilarious. No one sees it, but I do.

Stop

The

Madness.

Enough.

Yank the cord on that record player. You know the one. The one with permanent negativity on loop. The one that tells you

you’re worthless
shit
nothing
fucked up
useless
unwanted

Because that voice is a liar.

You create value within yourself. Recognize that there is value within you. You are… potential. It is so great within you. There is so much there, the light is blinding -I can see it so clearly!

You claim all there is is darkness. But to me, it’s like a spotlight that insists on looking at the black inky sky, rather than all the illumination it provides from within itself.

There is so much there, within you, if only you could trust yourself to see it.

The seed burrowed into the soil. It was dark. The water poured in, the seed began to drown. The water and darkness engulfed the seed.

But the seed didn’t die.

The water drained away. The darkness remained. But the first sprout rose above both the water and the darkness.

It clawed its way to the sun.

It didn’t do it alone. The seed used the darkness to fuel its growth. It used the water to make it strong.

The seed had become more than it was before. It was now a plant.

Have

some

patience.

Do you know how far you’ve come? Stop and think about it for a second.

Were you stagnant? Did you remain, unchanged, and undeveloped? If the answer is yes, my next question is…are you a vegetable?

Because time changes things/everything.

You’re changing right now. It may not feel like it, but you are.

The plant bloomed into a flower. The beauty of the petals when the sunlight struck. The clarity and shine was like a jewel.

Word of this flower soon spread throughout the land. Creatures of the world traveled far and wide to view this rare, exquisite plant.

The sunshine was kind. While it lasted.

Then the harsh winds blew. Lights winked out, snow fell.

The flower died.

The seed burrowed into the soil. It was dark. The water poured in, the seed began to drown. The water and darkness engulfed the seed.

But the seed didn’t die….

A bit of a jack of trades, I dabble into many fields that encourage the blossom of imagination and allow me to channel my creativity. I dream vividly and view the world through the lens of optimism and opportunity while acknowledging the ink and shadows.
